This policy explains ownership and permitted use of Waikiki.info content and how to report claimed copyright infringement.
Site content
Unless otherwise identified, original text, site design, graphics, compilations, and branding are owned by or licensed to Waikiki.info and protected by copyright and other laws. Photographs, maps, trademarks, quotations, and other third-party materials remain subject to their owners' rights and applicable licenses.
Permitted use
You may view, print, or save a reasonable portion of public content for personal, non-commercial travel planning. You may link to a public page with accurate attribution. You may not republish full articles, remove credits, reproduce protected images, create a substitute database, or commercially exploit content without written permission unless the use is authorized by law or a stated license.
Request permission or attribution help
For licensing, corrections, source questions, or permission requests, email media@waikiki.info and identify the specific URL and material.
Copyright infringement notice
If you believe material on the site infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, send a written notice to media@waikiki.info. A complete notice should include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list if multiple works on one site are involved.
- Identification and exact URL of the material claimed to infringe, with enough detail for us to locate it.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.
We may forward the notice to the person who supplied the material. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation may create liability. Consider fair use, license terms, and other legal exceptions before submitting a notice.
Counter notice
If material you supplied was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter notice containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed material and its former location.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States federal district court and to accept service of process from the original complainant or its agent, using the wording required by applicable law.
Repeat infringement and restoration
Where appropriate, we may remove material, disable access, or restrict repeat infringers. After a valid counter notice, material may be restored as permitted by law unless the complainant timely notifies us of a court action.
Operator action required for statutory safe harbor: An online service provider seeking reliance on 17 U.S.C. section 512(c) must designate and maintain a current agent with the US Copyright Office and publish the required agent details. This page identifies a reporting contact but does not by itself complete that registration.
