Waikiki.info wants Waikiki.info to be useful to as many visitors as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies.
Our goal
We aim to align the site's public templates and core content with generally recognized accessibility practices, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where reasonably practicable. Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time certification.
Features in the theme
- Semantic headings, landmarks, lists, navigation, buttons, and form labels.
- A skip link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Visible keyboard focus and keyboard-operable navigation.
- Responsive text and layouts that work across common screen sizes.
- Alternative text support for meaningful images and descriptive titles for map frames.
- Reduced-motion support for visitors who request it in system settings.
- Color choices intended to provide readable contrast in core templates.
Known limitations
Some third-party advertisements, maps, videos, social embeds, booking tools, widgets, or older content may not fully meet the same standard because they are supplied or controlled by another provider. User-generated content and linked external sites may also vary in accessibility. We continue to improve issues within our control as they are identified.
Request assistance or report a barrier
If you cannot access information or complete a function, email media@waikiki.info. Please include:
- The page URL and the content or feature you were trying to use.
- A brief description of the barrier.
- Your preferred alternative format or method of contact.
- Your browser, device, or assistive technology if you are comfortable sharing it.
We will make a good-faith effort to provide the information in an accessible alternative and address reproducible issues within a reasonable time. Do not include unnecessary medical or other sensitive information.
Third-party services
If a barrier is within a third-party service, we may be able to provide information or an alternate link but may not be able to change that service directly. You may also contact the provider.
